Mr B. M. Dilzad Kurreemun is the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Industry, SME and Cooperatives (Industry Division) of the Government of the Republic of Mauritius, where he leads the strategic direction and administration of the Industry Division and serves as principal adviser to the Minister.
A senior civil servant of nearly three decades’ standing, Mr Kurreemun has built a distinguished career at the heart of public administration in Mauritius. His expertise spans strategic planning and the machinery of Government, and he is recognised for advising Ministers, stewarding multi-million-rupee budgets, and driving organisational efficiency and multi-disciplinary problem solving across a broad range of Government bodies.
His career has taken him across several arms of Government, including the Prime Minister’s Office and the Ministries responsible for Public Infrastructure, Environment and Sustainable Development, Agro-Industry and Food Security, and Local Government and Disaster Risk Management. This breadth of service has given him an exceptional command of how national policy is shaped, financed and delivered, and a reputation as a trusted, results-driven steward of public institutions.
Beyond his executive responsibilities, Mr Kurreemun contributes substantial corporate governance experience to the institutions he serves. He sits as a Director on the Boards of the Development Bank of Mauritius and the Industrial Finance Corporation of Mauritius, and is a Member of the National Resilience Fund, having served on numerous other Boards and Committees over the course of his career. He holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Economics.
